Creating a world where every child is safe to grow

Children’s Bureau is now All For Kids – Stay tuned for a full Website refresh…Coming Soon!

Why All For Kids

Imagine a world where every child is safe to grow. That’s been our goal since 1904, and we’re excited to announce a new name that truly embodies this commitment. While the name Children’s Bureau has served us well, it’s time for a change to better reflect our mission and eliminate any confusion.  The word “Bureau” can suggest a governmental connection, and, we are often mistaken for a similar office in the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services. This change is not just about addressing these issues; it’s about seizing the opportunity to align our name with our vision and values.

The new name, “All For Kids,” truly captures our dedication to child safety and community well-being. It transcends cultural barriers and clearly represents our role within the community. As we embrace this new chapter, we invite you to join us on this journey. Together, we can continue our mission to ensure the well-being of every child, because everything we do is All For Kids. We’ll be rolling out our new website this summer. Stay tuned.

Our Mission at Children's Bureau:

Protecting vulnerable children through prevention, treatment and advocacy

Since 1904, Children’s Bureau has been a private, nonprofit leader in preventing child abuse and neglect and treating children who have suffered. Our innovative, comprehensive services help thousands of at-risk children and parents annually from 20 community sites in Los Angeles and Orange Counties. Our research and evaluation efforts and advocacy inform the child welfare arena on local, state and national levels.

Our Vision at Children's Bureau:

Children thriving in strong families and communities

Most parents don’t intend to harm their children. So why does it happen?  Many of today’s social ills play a pivotal role in child abuse. Isolation, poverty, substance abuse, loss of job or home, mental health issues are just a few of the life situations that can cause high stress and overwhelming feelings. Add to the mix the needs of a child and life becomes hard. Really hard. Read below to learn how we help support at-risk parents so they can confidently raise their children.
